Council Member Steve Fletcher

Welcome to Ward 3 — the Heart of Minneapolis! I am honored to serve as your City Council Member. I love this city, and it's my responsibility to represent everyone in our Ward as we work to make it even better. Together, we are working to make sure Minneapolis is a city where people can afford to live, where anyone can get around easily on foot, bike, and transit, and where we celebrate our city’s diversity and include everyone in our city’s prosperity.

On the City Council, I serve as Vice Chair of the Public Safety & Emergency Management Committee, Ways & Means Committee, and Budget Committee. I also serve on the Economic Development & Regulatory Services, Transportation & Public Works, and Enterprise Committees. As a member of these committees, I have a direct impact on affordable housing, public safety, transportation options, supporting small businesses, and much more.
