Minneapolis Animal Care & Control (MACC) welcomes all animals.

Some animals come to us with an injury, illness or behavioral issue. When that happens, we place the animals with one of our approved rescue partners. These groups provide excellent care. 

When a rescue group determines the animal we place with them is healthy, they list it for adoption. These animals will not appear on MACC's list of adoptable pets.

Approved animal rescue groups

If you want to become an approved rescue partner

• You must be a 501(c)3 organization.
• You can email us and ask for an application. Put "Rescue Partner Application Request" in the subject line.
• After you submit your application, we will take you through our screening process.
• If you pass the screening, you will be added to our list of approved rescue partners.

If you want to contact an approved rescue partner

• You can contact any of our rescue partners to learn about adoption or volunteer opportunities.
