Minneapolis census information

When the 2020 census count concluded on October 15, Minneapolis had a 74% self-response rate. This was 1.2 percentage points higher than the Minneapolis 2010 self-response rate (72.8%).

Getting an accurate and complete count of all Minneapolis residents was vital. The City partnered with the U.S. Census Bureau, the State, the County, and community-based groups to pursue this work.

Hennepin County census information

The Hennepin County self-response rate was 79.4%. Of that, 71.4% of people completed the census online. The other 8.2% completed it by calling the toll-free phone number or mailing in the paper questionnaire.
