About Lisa Bender
Lisa Bender was elected to serve as the 10th Ward City Council member on November 5, 2013. Lisa has over a decade of experience working to make cities more vibrant and sustainable. With a Masters’ Degree in City Planning and a background in community advocacy, Lisa has a mix of policy experience and organizing skills that will help her lead Ward 10 and the City into this exciting next period in history. Lisa’s priorities are to:
- help the city grow while maintaining the character of our neighborhoods,
- create viable transportation options that include walking, bicycling and transit in all neighborhoods,
- ensure population growth in the city reduces our regional environmental footprint,
- fight for social justice and equity in all decisions.
