1st Precinct

The 1st Precinct serves downtown Minneapolis.

2nd Precinct

The 2nd Precinct's service area is bounded by the Mississippi River and 37th Avenue NE.

3rd Precinct

The 3rd Precinct staff includes Patrol Officers and Investigations.

4th Precinct

The 4th precinct is headquarters for Patrol Officers and Precinct Investigations.

5th Precinct

The 5th Precinct boundaries are 35W, I-94 and the city limits on the west and south.

Access to police services

  • For emergencies, call 911. TTY users can call 911 directly. Text-to-911 is available in Minneapolis.
  • For non-emergencies and help in alternative formats, contact 311.
  • People who are deaf or hard of hearing can use the relay service, TTY: 612-263-6850.

We ensure that deaf and hard-of-hearing people have full and equal use of our services. We provide auxiliary aids and services at no cost.
