Workforce Planning Manager – Human Resources Job Opportunity

The City of Minneapolis has an exciting opportunity for a Workforce Planning Manager.  The Workforce Planning function provides services in the areas of workforce analysis including Affirmative Action planning, succession management and knowledge transfer.  Reporting to the Director of Strategic Workforce Solutions, the Workforce Planning Manager is responsible for the design and implementation of a Workforce Planning strategy and process for the City.  In addition, the position will collaborate with departments to identify future talent needs and to create workforce and succession plans to address the needs and challenges of a vibrant world-class city.

Salary range is $82,779 - $91,515.  A Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources Management, Industrial Relations, Business Administration, Organization Development, Industrial and Organizational Psychology, or an equivalent related field is required (Master’s Degree is desirable) plus 5 years of professional HR experience with exposure to a broad range of HR disciplines, including at least 3 years of experience leading or managing workforce planning and/or organization development-related services.  For a complete position description, click here.  To apply for this position, e-mail your resume and cover letter by November 13, 2014 to Bill Champa at
