The City can help you apply for the Transit Assistance Program (TAP) offered by Metro Transit.

The goals of this transit assistance is to:

• Make public transit more affordable to people with lower incomes.
• Provide everyone access to reliable public transportation.

How it works:

• Read the eligibility requirements on the Metro Transit site.
• Bring the required documents to the City of Minneapolis Service Center during business hours.
• A staff member will help you sign up.
• Once registered, you'll receive a Go-To card and can ride for a year for $1 a trip.
