The Heritage Preservation Commission (HPC) prepares annual reports. They follow guidelines set by the Minnesota State Historic Preservation Office (SHPO). Minneapolis is a Certified Local Government (CLG) through the National Park Service. This annual report is required to maintain CLG status. The HPC often applies for CLG grants through the SHPO.
