Join us at the Public Health Hero award ceremony and resource fair

The Local Public Health Heroes awards honor community members making our city a healthier place to live, learn, work, and play.

Local Public Health Heroes support the Minneapolis Health Department’s vision of creating a city where everyone can:

  • Live healthy lives
  • Have fair access to healthcare
  • Have a healthy environment now and into the future  

Selection process

Local Public Health Heroes are selected based on:

  • The excellence and impact of their work
  • Alignment with one or more of the Health Department’s goal areas

You can nominate a Local Public Health Hero by filling out our form. Submit your nomination by Wednesday, March 19 at 5 p.m.
