You can reduce your stormwater utility fee by up to 45% if you live in a Green Zone, up to 35% if you live outside a Green Zone.

If you are a residential property owner, you can

  • Reduce the amount of pollution that flows into our creeks, lakes and the river.
  • Earn monthly credits by removing pollutants from stormwater that falls on your property.
  • Reduce your monthly stormwater utility fee by up to 45% in a Green Zone or 35% outside a Green Zone by installing raingarden or pervious pavement.

You are eligible for quality stormwater credits if you

Install a raingarden, pervious pavement, green roof, or stormwater reuse (rain barrels are not eligible) according to Best Management Practices (BMPs)

Your practices must

  • Be implemented on your property, not in the right-of-way
  • Treat stormwater runoff from impervious areas on your own property

Award Amounts

  • 35% flat rate
  • 45% flat rate within Green Zones

You must include all required materials with your application

The application period is open from May 1st through October 1st. To be eligible for a credit, submit a complete application during this time frame. The City may extend the application period based on weather conditions.
