Community engagement for Independent Evaluator selection
Three Independent Evaluator candidates
During the meetings, each Independent Evaluator candidate made a presentation to:
- Share information about their backgrounds.
- Propose methods for evaluating compliance.
- Explain their community engagement plan.
- Respond to questions and concerns from the community.
Community feedback
Before the public meetings, the City asked the community to provide questions for the Independent Evaluators.
After the public meetings, the community provided feedback about the candidates.
Settlement agreement requirements
As part of the settlement agreement with the Minnesota Department of Human Rights (MDHR), the City is:
- Selecting an Independent Evaluator
- Hosting two meetings with the public. They will:
- Be held in different locations in the City.
- Moderated by a skilled community facilitator.
