Child lead testing events

You can get your child tested for lead at our lead testing events.

Child lead testing events

We are bringing a mobile testing lab to your neighborhood. A blood test is the only way to know if your child has lead poisoning.

Lead poisoning can cause serious health issues, such as:

  • Learning problems
  • Behavioral problems
  • Slowed growth
  • Hearing problems
  • Developmental problems

When to test your child

Test your child if they:

  • Are under 6 years old
  • Live in a home built before 1978
  • Live in a home with recent repairs to painted wood trim, walls, or floors
  • If you are concerned for your child’s health
  • Have a playmate or sibling with lead in his or her blood

Lead poisoning is 100% preventable. Please get your children tested at one of the many testing events we host throughout the year or from your family doctor.
