If you do not have City garbage collection, but do have a Minneapolis water bill, you can request a pay per use pass. You must schedule a time to go to the transfer station.

Know before you go
The South Transfer Station is open Tuesday to Saturday, but you have to get a pass before you go. You cannot show up without one, and you cannot get one on-site at the transfer station. The pass holder must remain on site throughout the process.
If you are the utility bill payer for the property, you must call us to request a pass.
When you call to schedule a time, you'll be asked for:
- The specific week (Tuesday to Friday) or specific Saturday you want to drop off your items
- The name of the person who will be bringing the materials to the transfer station
- The materials you plan to bring to the transfer station
