For the Twin Cities residents and visitors who wish to beat a bit of cabin fever, Minneapolis is the place to be this weekend. Every major venue is booked with entertainment and sports options for the whole family.

City officials say a busy February weekend like this is somewhat rare, as the chilly temperatures tend to keep people home. Yet, more than 70,000 people are expected to spend time in Minneapolis this weekend.

“February is not a popular month, but in Minneapolis, we rock through 28 days!” said Mayor Jacob Frey. “From world-class performances at Orchestra Hall to thrilling sporting events at the Convention Center, there’s truly something for everyone. We’re keeping the momentum going and are thrilled to welcome both visitors and locals to experience the energy and vibrancy that make Minneapolis so special.”

The Meet Minneapolis “Winterapolis” campaign encompasses other events, as well as the calendar by the Downtown Council.
