Minneapolis City offices closed Thursday, July 4, for Independence Day

All Minneapolis City government offices, including Minneapolis 311, the Early Vote Center and the Minneapolis Service Center at 505 Fourth. Ave. S., will be closed Thursday, July 4, in observance of Independence Day. City offices will resume regular business hours Friday, July 5. 

There are no City of Minneapolis garbage and recycling pickups July 4. Households’ garbage and recycling pickups scheduled for Thursday, July 4, and Friday, July 5, will have their collection delayed by one day.

The City's parking meters are not enforced July 4. Other metered parking restrictions in the city may be in effect and subject to enforcement, including Park Board, University of Minnesota and private organizations that operate their own meters. Always read the information posted on the meter or pay station to be certain.

Independence Day office closures do not affect 911 or Minneapolis police and fire emergency services.
