Project overview

The city is planning to improve the streets in the western part of the Fulton neighborhood. The planning and public input phase is underway. Construction is scheduled to begin in 2025, phased over the next several years. Public Works is gathering resident input on improvements for walking, rolling, biking, and driving. The project will include the following elements:

  • Safety improvements
    • We’ll evaluate changes to the existing street configuration to improve safety.
      • This includes:
        • Installing an accessible curb ramp at corners where there is a need.
        • Intersection improvements to make it safer to walk across the street.
        • Installation of all ages and abilities bikeway connections.
  • Pavement work
    • We’ll do work ranging from pavement resurfacing to street reconstruction.
  • Storm sewer improvements
    • We’ll improve underground storm sewer pipes within the right of way where needed. This is to address pipe condition or help with urban flooding.
