Wenonah West sanitary sewer improvement
The City completed sanitary sewer work on 54th St. E. from 28th Ave. to 29th Ave. and on 27th Ave. S. from 54th St. E. to 55th St. E.

Phase 2 will start Monday June 7th. This phase will be working 150 feet east and west of the intersection of 54th Street and 28th Avenue and 250 feet south of the same intersection.
A City-owned sewer pipe at the intersection of 29th Ave. S. and 55th St. E. sits below the pipe it is connected to. This issue restricts city sewer flow along 54th St. E. and 28th Ave. S., causing the pipes to be at or near their limits.
To fix the issue, we'll build a new sanitary lift station at 54th St. E. and 29th Ave. S. We'll also replace the pipe around the lift station, including on 27th Ave. S.
Traffic impacts
We expect some minimal traffic impacts.
The following temporary traffic impacts may occur:
- Detours
- Lane restrictions
- Intersection reductions
- Parking restrictions
- Revised pedestrian and bicycle routes
Residents, businesses and visitors may experience:
- Noise
- Vibration
- Dust in work areas
