Program overview

The seal coat project is complete.

During the sealcoating process, our crews:

  • Pour liquid asphalt over the pavement
  • Spread stone chips, such as granite, over the liquid asphalt
  • Roll the pavement surface with special equipment to mix the chips into the liquid asphalt
  • After one week, sweep the pavement with a street sweeper to pick up excess sealcoat chips

The City chooses project locations based on inspections.

Traffic impacts

There will be no parking, but the street will be open to traffic during the sealcoat process.
