Construction schedule
Anticipated duration of the project is five weeks. This project is tentatively scheduled for the early part of the construction season.
Background
The SB Lyndale Ave S bridge was constructed in 1965 and modified in 1989. This work will make concrete repairs, repair the expansion joints, and seal the deck. The light pole on top of the bridge will also be replaced.
Traffic impacts
There will be some road closures starting April 5, 2021.
- Southbound Lyndale Ave. will be closed for three weeks.
- We expect to reopen Lyndale Ave. by April 24, 2021.
- NB Hennepin will have reduced traffic lanes.
