Project overview

In 2023, City staff will resurface the streets in this area. We replace the top layer of asphalt pavement to extend the life of a street.  The new pavement should last at least 10 years.

ADA pedestrian ramp upgrades

All existing street corners have been upgraded to comply with the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA).  

Schedule 

• Project staff held a virtual neighborhood meeting on Thursday, February 23rd, 2023
• Select curb and gutter replacement work completed the week of April 3rd, 2023 
• City crews will mill and pave Park Ave the week of May 22nd, 2023

Traffic impacts

Park Ave S will be closed and traffic detoured to Chicago Ave on May 23rd through May 26th.  The road will be open overnight and as possible during the day.
