Neighborhood traffic safety improvements

The City will be improving traffic safety at several intersections. The improvements will be in: Loring Park, Stevens Square, and Lowry Hill East neighborhoods.

Project overview

This project will improve traffic safety at 11 or 12 intersections and will focus on walking. Biking improvements will be made where possible.

Safety improvements may include, but are not limited to:

  • New traffic signals
  • Curb extensions
  • Accessible Pedestrian Signals (APS)
  • Curb ramps that comply with the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA)
  • Better lighting
