Overview
Project details
This project made pedestrian safety and ADA improvements. We worked with the 2019 resurfacing project along Monroe St. NE.
Location
Monroe St NE at 20th Ave NE and at 22nd Ave NE.
Safety improvements included:
- High-visibility zebra crosswalks
- Curb extensions
- Relocated pedestrian curb ramps
We installed many green infrastructure treatments.
Green improvements included:
- Bioretention curb extensions
- Subsurface infiltration chambers in the parking lane next to the school
- Landscape areas near the school entrance
