Project overview

We will replace the damaged sanitary and storm sewer pipes on E River Terrace, from St. Anthony Ave to Emerald St. This project will upgrade 600 feet of sanitary pipe and 300 feet of storm pipe, along with their access structures.

The new sanitary sewer will:

• Help prevent major repairs later on.
• Be abandoned in current location and installed in the roadway.
• Improve flow while decreasing groundwater infiltration and inflow.

Traffic impacts

Roadwork and utility work involves use of heavy equipment that will increase noise, vibration, and dust in work areas. You might see:

• Traffic lanes that narrow or are restricted during construction.
• Parking lanes that will be closed during construction.
• Pedestrian detours around work areas. These will be set up as needed to enable construction. Expect greater impacts at intersections where work is occurring.
