Project overview

Public Works staff plan to remove and add a new layer of asphalt on the streets. A bikeway path will be installed as well, see bikeway project link below.

This project is part of an ongoing street maintenance program. We replace the top layer of asphalt pavement, which extends the life of a street between larger reconstructions. The new pavement should last about 10 years.

Schedule

We will mill and overlay 58^th St W, Sunrise Drive, and 60^th St between Lyndale Ave S and Penn Ave S from July 5^th-8^th.  During this time the road will be closed and detoured.

Recently identified sewer repairs will need to take place at the intersection of 59^th St W and Sunrise Drive, and at the intersection of 58^th St W and Bryant Ave S.  This moved the final paving of this intersection to the week of August 22nd.  The rest of this project was paved as planned.
