4th Ave NE sewer improvements
The City will remove and replace 280 feet of clay pipe. We'll also replace manholes.

We've determined the following sanitary sewer needs rehabilitation:
4th Ave NE from 4th St NE to 5th St NE
Year installed: 1965
What we'll do
- Remove 280 feet of 9” clay pipe and nearby manholes due to pipe being in poor condition
- Replace with 280 feet of 10” clay pipe.
- Replace manholes
Background
We assess sewer system conditions on a regular basis to:
- Find infrastructure rehabilitation (rehab) needs
- Check over the aging sewer system
- Maintain and improve the system
- Keep the system reliable
- Using the condition and risk data, we focus on the sewers with the most rehab needs.
