31st Street Vision Zero Safety Improvements - Phase 1
This is a Vision Zero project. The City will install safety treatments using paint and bollards. The treatments will help the City prevent severe injuries and deaths from traffic crashes.
Program overview
The Vision Zero Capital Program will install cost effective safety improvements that
- Help to end crashes
- Promote safer driving
These improvements provide a similar user experience as
- Curb extensions
- Medians
- Lane narrowing
The goals of these safety improvements are to increase the safety of all users because they
- Promote safe driving
- Lower vehicle speeds
- Reduce crossing distances for people walking
- Improve visibility at intersections
