Curbside access policy in development

We are working to develop a new policy on how we manage curbside access.

Developing a curbside access plan

The City is working on a new policy to address competing curb space needs. A curbside access plan makes sure that the areas along our streets are used effectively and safely. This includes deciding where:

  • Buses can stop
  • cars can park
  • People can walk and roll
  • Vehicles can make deliveries
  • Trees and plants can thrive
  • People can relax and dine outside

The plan will set goals and strategies so that everyone’s needs at our curb spaces can work well. The Transportation Action Plan supports this work.

Community engagement

The City will gather community input on curbside needs using different strategies, including:

  • surveys
  • focus groups
  • community meetings
  • pop-up events

Your feedback will help the City make decisions about how to manage space at the curb.
