We train and fund people and small organizations working to prevent violence.

Become more effective and sustainable

In January, we accept fellowship applications from individuals and small organizations doing violence prevention work.

If selected, you:

  • Participate in eight training sessions, one per month from February through September*
  • Receive up to $6,000 in funding
  • Get technical assistance related to designing your activity or program
  • Become part of a peer network with with other fellowship recipients

*Each organization can send up to two people to the training sessions.

Eligibility requirements

  • Your operating budget is less than $100,000 per year
  • Violence prevention is a focus of your work
  • You require capacity-building training to meet community needs
  • Your agency serves Minneapolis residents at greatest risk of violence
  • You have not been part of the cohort in the past

The fellowship runs from March to September.

The deadline to submit a 2023 RFP has passed.
