Process
This process applies to both pre-development and development grants.
Deadline
Developers will have two deadlines
- The first is for the City’s sponsorship application process. This occurs several months ahead of the Metropolitan Council grant deadlines.
- The second is for the Metropolitan Council application process.
Steps to apply
City of Minneapolis and Metropolitan Council
- You must first submit a sponsorship application and be approved by the City Council.
- Then you submit a Metropolitan Council grant application for funding.
Competitive process
Limited City sponsorships
- The City can sponsor a limited in the number of grant applications.
- The sponsorship application process is competitive.
