What we fund

Business District Support (BDS) grants fund activities that help build vibrant business districts. This includes:

• Promotional work like ads and blogs

• Community events and activities that energize public spaces

• Networking events for district business owners
• And more

We focus on areas of our city with racial, ethnic and economic disparities.

Who can apply

We accept BDS grant applications from the following types of nonprofits.

• Business and neighborhood associations
• Community development corporations
• Arts and cultural organizations
• Other community-based nonprofits with the capacity to do the work

We accept applications every year in the fall

BDS grant awards

We award individual grants for up to $50,000.

The number of nonprofits to receive awards varies by year, based on the applications we receive.
