Fill out this form to request the conference room at the Lake Street Safety Center.

What to know

  • You can book the Lake Street Safety Center conference room to host a meeting. 
  • You must fill out the conference room reservation form to request the room.

After you’ve submitted your request

  • You will receive an email indicating that City staff is reviewing your room request.
  • After we review, you'll receive an email confirming or denying your request within two business days.  
  • On the day of your scheduled use, please check in with staff. We'll give you access to the space.

You can request the conference room during these hours:

  • Monday, Wednesday, and Friday: 9 a.m. - 5 p.m.
  • Tuesday, Thursday: 11 a.m. - 7 p.m.

Public use rules

Allowed uses for meeting room

The conference room is open to the public, no matter of:

  • Beliefs
  • Affiliations
  • Groups requesting it

Note: The City of Minneapolis does not endorse a specific use or events that occur in the conference room.

Activities not allowed in meeting room

You may not:

  • Host commercial activities (Buy or sell goods).
  • Charge admission fees.
  • Sell products or services.
  • Hold direct fundraising activities.
  • Use candles or flames of any kind.
  • Store equipment, materials or supplies in the conference room.

What you're responsible for

The person reserving the conference room:

  • Is liable for any damages to facilities and furnishing.   
  • Must make sure the room is brought back to its original state.

Cancellations

You must notify 311 staff as soon as possible, if you need to cancel a reservation.

Conference room size and furniture

  • The room comfortably seats 8 people.
  • The table cannot be moved.
  • You can rearrange the chairs.

 

Technology and equipment

  • Wi-fi is available.
  • The meeting room has a large screen TV with HDMI hook-up for use with your device.
  • Groups must bring their laptop and any other equipment they need. 

Note: We cannot provide laptops. Staff is not available to provide AV equipment support.

No public restroom

There is no public restroom available for community use.
