It’s important to note that BCR’s role in the city will not change. BCR will not see walk-in clients but will continue to respond to 911 calls.

A presence at this site will allow them to stay in South Minneapolis:

  • Between calls
  • Store needed supplies for vans
  • Increase collaboration with other safety partners

Other partners

The Lake Street Safety Coordinator pilot will be in the Lake Street Safety Center. It's funded by the City Council 2023 budget.

The coordinator will help:

  • Blend law enforcement and non-law enforcement services
  • Help residents and businesses
