Strategic and Racial Equity Action Plan
This plan guides our work on racial equity.
How we make decisions
We use a process called Racial Equity Impact Analysis (REIA). This helps us think about how our decisions affect people of color.
When we use REIA
We use this process when:
- Making new laws or changing existing ones
- Changing City policies
- Trying to see how the recommendations of boards and commissions affect racial equity.
By keeping racial fairness in mind, REIA helps us make better decisions.
What we consider before deciding
When we make decisions, we consider:
- Policies
- Practices
- Programs
- Budgets
