Linea Palmisano has a long history of community involvement. Before City Council, she served as board chair of the Linden Hills Neighborhood Council (LHiNC) and as an assistant track coach at Southwest High School. She founded NAVIGATE, an immigrant college access program. She served as a board member for the Linden Hills Farmers Market, and successfully advocated for multi-modal transit improvements.
These experiences helped her understand what it means to create sustainable opportunities and promote a quality of life that works for all of us.
Outside of her community activism, her professional experiences include 15 years of private sector experience in roles with IBM Global Services, UnitedHealth Group, and a local small business on W 44th Street.
Council Member Palmisano is a graduate of the University of Notre Dame (Bachelor of Science), the University of Minnesota (MBA – Strategy and Entrepreneurship), and St. Thomas (Certificate program for Non-Profit Leadership).
Linea encourages residents of the Ward 13 to be involved and engaged in citywide issues. She advocates for stronger and more transparent communications between residents, businesses, and the City.
