The City is updating its website. Heritage Preservation Commission agendas and actions before 2020 are available in our meeting archive.

What we do

HPC reviews and decides on various preservation applications. This includes:

  • Certificate of appropriateness
  • Historic variance
  • Demolition of historic resource
  • Nominations of landmarks and historic districts

HPC also reviews preservation studies and design guidelines.

Minneapolis code governs HPC's powers and duties.

HPC meets on the 2nd and 4th Tuesday of every month at 4:30 p.m.
