Calls with Microsoft Teams

Use Teams for online meetings

  • Microsoft Teams is our City standard for online meetings.
  • Teams is installed on all City computers.
  • City employees can use audio conferencing to talk with a group on the phone with Teams.
  • You can connect with coworkers at the City and external, non-City partners for free.

Standard Teams meeting

  • You can hold online calls or meetings through Teams, using your computer speakers or headphones.
  • You do not need a dial-in number for this.
  • Non-City employees can join in these meetings for free.

Using a dial-in number

We can give you a Teams phone number and host PIN. The number and PIN will automatically appear in your online meeting invitations.

This helps everyone join in the conversation, such as when you're meeting guests who:

  • Do not have a computer or smart device available
  • Are driving
  • Have poor internet reception

Request a dial-in number

  • Contact the IT Service Desk to request one.
  • Use the subject line "Request dial-in phone number."
