Committee of the Whole

The Planning Commission typically meets twice a month in an informal setting called Committee of the Whole (COW).

Overview

The Committee of the Whole gives city staff, applicants, and commissioners the chance to discuss proposals before taking formal action at a public hearing. It's an official yet informal forum. They discuss proposals such as:

  • Public land sales
  • Project reviews
  • Zoning code amendments

The meeting is open to the public, but public testimony is not accepted at these meetings.
