Free Woodchip Distribution Sites
The Minneapolis Park & Recreation Board’s Forestry Department makes woodchips available to Minneapolis residents. The Park & Recreation Board is in the process of phasing out its wookchip program due to new equipment that makes pruning more efficient and safer.
There are currently several neighborhood sites located throughout the city. As the program is phased out, the distribution locations will become more limited and sporatic. For more details on locations where woodchips may be available, visit the Minneapolis Park & Recreation website.
For questions or comments, please call the Forestry Department at (612) 313-7710.
