Survey ranks Minneapolis as cleanest city in America

Minneapolis is cleanest city in the country according to a May 2010 survey by Travel + Leisure magazine.

The top ranking is part of Travel + Leisure’s Favorite Cities survey that asked voters to rank top American cities in 30 different categories, including culture, shopping, restaurants, nightlife, cleanliness and more. New York was voted "America’s Dirtiest City."

Portland, Denver, Austin, Santa Fe and San Diego also ranked high in the cleanliness category. The Favorite Cities survey by T+L asked voters to rank top American cities in 30 different categories, including cleanliness.

In a previous Travel +Leisure survey, the Minneapolis Saint Paul area was voted "Most Intelligent."
