Labor Force

Between 1980 and 2000, Webber-Camden's labor force participation rate (those employed, unemployed and seeking a job, or in the armed forces) rose slightly from 60 percent to 63 percent, peaking at 66 percent in 1990. Webber-Camden's labor force participation rate remained lower than Minneapolis' across all three decades.

In 1980 and 1990, Webber-Camden had a higher unemployment rate than Minneapolis. In 2000, however, the unemployment rate fell to 5.5 percent, just below Minneapolis' 5.8 percent unemployment rate.
