Community Connections Conference Reports

Hosted annually, the conference is designed to create and strengthen successful collaborations. It’s a platform for residents, neighborhood organizations, cultural communities and the City to collectively address systemic issues and explore unique, innovative solutions.

NCR thanks everyone who participated in the 7th annual Community Connections Conference. On February 10, 2018, just under 700 residents, elected leaders, and representatives from nonprofits and community organizations came together to learn about civic engagement opportunities, community partnerships, social justice initiatives and ways to shape local government policies. Programming included an opening panel on transformative leadership, two sessions of workshops, a community roundtable with the Mayor and members of City Council, a neighborhood showcase and over 100 exhibits.

Sponsors and Community Partners

Thank you to Metro Transit and Centerpoint Energy for sponsoring the 2018 conference, and thank you to our community partners CLUES, CAIR-MN, MIWRC and MUL.
