Northside Greenway Council

The Northside Greenway Council (NGC) was an all-volunteer group of North Minneapolis residents and community-based organizations that provided guidance to the City of Minneapolis throughout the initial phases of community engagement and project planning for the North Minneapolis Greenway project.

The City of Minneapolis is responsible for the installation, maintenance, and de-installation of the temporary greenway. Residents can provide feedback and report issues directly to the City concerning the temporary greenway pilot project in any of the following ways:
·         Contact Minneapolis 311 (call 612-673-3000 if outside Minneapolis city limits).
·         Email the Minneapolis Health Department at [email protected].
·         Complete an online survey.
·         Fill out a comment card located in the informational kiosks at either end of the temporary greenway (comment cards can be mailed back to the Minneapolis Health Department or placed in a locked box attached to the kiosk).
·         Share your thoughts at additional greenway community engagement events throughout the year (schedule to be posted as event details are finalized).

Past Northside Greenway Council Meeting Notes

June 2016 - No Meeting: In lieu of a regular June meeting, the NGC invited City of Minneapolis staff to host an informal community information session where residents were able to learn more about the Temporary Greenway, ask questions of City Staff, and provide feedback on the project. These comments are being compiled along with all other comments received to date and will be shared back with the community in late July/early August on the City's greenway web page.

May 2016 - No Meeting: In lieu of a regular May meeting, Northside Greenway Council members and City staff conducted door knocking along all 5 blocks of the temporary greenway route to inform residents of th upcoming greenway installation and gather feedback.
