Pathways to Emergency and Academy Career Experiences (PEACE) Program

The City of Minneapolis’ PEACE program gives Minneapolis students the opportunity to explore careers in Fire, Police, Emergency Services, and Legal services. Students who participate will team with a trained mentor and professional in one of the fields they are interested in who they will meet with monthly. Students will participate in monthly events with their peers for reflection, team building, and to develop resume building skills, how to network, self-care, and career exploration. Minneapolis Public School students will also work with a Check and Connect Monitor at their school who will help ensure success during the program and make sure they are on track for graduation. Students will get hands on experience, receive a paid internship over the summer, and make personal connections with professionals in their career field of interest.
