Workplace Advisory Committee

The Workplace Advisory Committee was created by Resolution 2016R-342 on August 9, 2016 and is tasked with reviewing policy and advising policymakers on workplace related issues.

The committee is charged with supporting and lending their collective expertise and experience to existing and future workplace policies and initiatives, including:

The committee will also prepare a two-year work plan that focuses on workplace issues.

Deadline: Open until filled. The application review process will begin Friday, October 14, 2016.

Selection Process

Applications are forwarded from the City Clerk to the Mayor and to the Public Safety, Civil Rights & Emergency Management Committee. Applicants are then scheduled to speak at a public hearing in front of the committee. Applications are then reviewed by the Public Safety, Civil Rights & Emergency Management Committee, and Civil Rights Staff for recommendation to the full City Council.

Additional Information

Committee meetings are held every second Monday of the month at the City Hall Martin Luther King, Jr. Conference Room at 4:00 pm unless otherwise specified on the Committee Calendar.
