Civil Rights Commission, Minneapolis

Carries out the City's human relations policies. Promotes civil rights and enforces the civil rights provisions of the Minneapolis Code of Ordinances.

Meeting Schedule

The full commission meets the third Monday of each month. Members also serve on sub-committees and may serve on panels that hear complaints of citizens who allege violations of their civil rights.

Membership

21 (a minimum of 6 members and a maximum of 8 members shall be attorneys); 14 are appointed by the Mayor with Council approval, 7 are appointed by Council subject to the Mayor's veto.
